Just a quick post today to flag up a cheap little gadget I recently purchased which has really made a positive difference to my working from the kitchen table.
I’m finding myself less tired, with better posture during all those Zoom calls, and more able to use both the laptop screen and a second screen behind it effectively on calls.
This is the Babcom Laptop Stand, and I bought mine from Amazon for £15.99, which to be honest is the best few quid I’ve spent on anything since lockdown! If you want to order one here’s the link - https://amzn.to/2I6BNYR
As you can see, it sits underneath the laptop and raises it at whatever angle you want. With my 15” MacBook Pro, using the third hole from the back raises the screen and built-in camera to exactly my eye height, making verticals straight in my Zoom calls and helping me keep my back straight. It’s nice and solid when set up, but also folds down to a tiny footprint and comes in a little velour drawstring bag. Soft rubber front feet hold the front of the laptop securely, and it doesn’t slide around on the desktop.
Just a simple, well designed bit of kit which has made my life a bit easier…
Do you have any similar finds you could share?
Until my next rambling…
